This Shipping & Freight Policy explains how Prime Power Fitness delivers the commercial strength equipment you order on www.primepower-fitness.com or through an accepted quote: where we deliver, how freight works, what you need to prepare and what to do when your equipment arrives.

1. Who we are
Prime Power Fitness is based at 7250 Keele St, Unit 223, Concord, Ontario L4K 1Z8, Canada. You can reach us by email at contact@primepower-fitness.com or through our contact page. This policy forms part of our Terms of Sale.
2. Where we deliver
We deliver to:
- Canada;
- the United States;
- the Gulf: United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman.
Prices are shown in the currency of the delivery country (CAD, USD, AED or SAR). The Canadian dollar is our base currency; converted amounts are indicative until your order or quote is confirmed. If your destination is not listed, contact us and we will tell you whether we can quote it.
3. How we ship
- Freight (LTL): most of our equipment, such as selectorized and plate-loaded machines, multi-stations and functional trainers, racks, Smith machines, benches and storage, is heavy and ships with a less-than-truckload (LTL) freight carrier.
- Parcel: smaller items, such as some accessories, may ship with a parcel carrier.
When freight can be priced automatically, the shipping cost and the available shipping methods are shown at checkout. When it cannot, for example for Gulf destinations or oversized orders, your order is handled as a quote request: we quote the freight before any payment is taken, and you decide whether to proceed. An order with several items may arrive in more than one shipment.
4. Lead times
Estimated lead times are shown at checkout or on your quote. They are estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates. They can vary with product availability, carrier schedules, weather, customs clearance and access conditions at the delivery address. If we become aware of a significant delay, we will tell you and give you an updated estimate.
Nothing in this policy limits the rights you may have under applicable law in case of late delivery, such as the right to cancel a distance contract under the Québec Consumer Protection Act where it applies.
You may cancel an order free of charge before it ships. After shipment, a cancellation is treated as a return under our Returns & Refunds Policy.
5. Standard delivery: curbside or loading dock
Unless inside delivery or installation has been ordered and quoted, delivery is made at the curb or at your loading dock, at ground level:
- the equipment is unloaded at the curb or at the loading dock;
- the driver does not bring the equipment inside, up or down stairs, or into a specific room;
- unpacking, assembly, installation and removal of packaging are not included.
Commercial equipment is very heavy. Plan for suitable handling equipment (such as a pallet jack or dolly) and enough people to move it safely once it has been delivered.
6. Inside delivery and installation (optional)
Inside delivery and installation are optional services, quoted separately. Depending on your project, they can include floor planning, delivery inside your premises, assembly, levelling and packaging removal. The scope, price and scheduling of these services are set out in your quote. You can request them on our quote page or by contacting us.
7. Preparing for delivery: access checklist
You are responsible for making sure the delivery can be made safely. Before the delivery date, please check the following:
- Truck access: a freight truck can reach and park at the delivery address (street width, low clearances, weight limits, gated sites, local restrictions);
- Loading dock or ground level: tell us before shipment whether you have a loading dock or whether the truck must unload at ground level, so the right equipment can be arranged;
- Doorways and passages: the dimensions of the equipment (see the product specifications) fit through the doors, hallways and corners on the route;
- Stairs and elevators: any stairs on the route, and the size and load capacity of the elevators;
- Floor capacity: the floor where the equipment will stand can bear its weight, including weight stacks and plates; consult a qualified professional if in doubt;
- Building rules: any delivery time slots, freight-elevator reservations or other requirements of your building;
- Someone present: an adult authorized to receive and sign for the delivery is present at the agreed time, with a phone number where we and the carrier can reach them.
8. Failed or refused delivery
If a delivery cannot be completed because of access conditions that were not disclosed, incorrect address information or because no one is present to receive it, the carrier may charge redelivery, storage or other fees. These fees are payable by the buyer; we will tell you about them before a new delivery is arranged.
If you refuse delivery of undamaged, conforming goods, the shipment returns to us and is treated as a return under our Returns & Refunds Policy, including return freight and the restocking fee. If a shipment is visibly damaged, follow the inspection steps below and contact us right away.
9. Receiving and inspecting your equipment
- Inspect before you sign. Count the boxes and pieces against the delivery receipt (bill of lading) and check the packaging for visible damage.
- Write it on the receipt. Note any visible damage or missing boxes precisely on the delivery receipt before signing (for example, "2 boxes crushed" or "1 box missing"). A receipt signed without remarks makes a carrier claim much harder.
- Take photos of the damage, the packaging and the labels.
- Notify us within 48 hours of delivery at contact@primepower-fitness.com, with your order number and the photos.
- Concealed damage (not visible until the packaging is opened): notify us within 7 days of delivery, with photos, and keep the original packaging until the claim is resolved.
We then handle the claim with the carrier and repair or replace the damaged or missing items. Damaged, defective or incorrect items are not subject to the restocking fee or to return freight. These deadlines allow us to act quickly with the carrier; they do not limit your statutory rights, including the legal warranty of quality under the Québec Consumer Protection Act. Manufacturing defects discovered later are covered by the warranty described in our Terms of Sale.
10. Title and risk
Ownership of the equipment and the risk of loss or damage pass to you on delivery.
11. Shipping charges and taxes in Canada
Shipping charges are shown at checkout or on your quote before you pay. In Canada, GST/HST and, depending on the delivery province, QST or PST are calculated at checkout on the goods and the freight. Original freight charges are not refunded if you return equipment, except for damaged, defective or incorrect items.
12. International deliveries
For deliveries outside Canada, we provide the customs clearance documents for the shipment. The carrier or the customs broker may ask the consignee for information needed to clear the goods.
United States
- Import duties, customs fees and brokerage are the buyer's responsibility, unless your quote states otherwise.
- Sales tax is collected only where we are registered or required to collect it; otherwise, you are responsible for any use tax that applies.
Gulf countries (United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman)
- Freight to the Gulf is quoted before payment. Unless the quote states otherwise, quotes are valid for 30 days.
- Delivery is generally made DAP (Delivered at Place, duties unpaid): import VAT (for example, 5% in the United Arab Emirates and 15% in Saudi Arabia) and customs duties are payable by the buyer on import, unless the quote states otherwise.
- Customs clearance times vary; lead times on Gulf quotes are estimates.
